Who are we ?
WHAT IS 3D EAU?
3D EAU is an innovative company that implements the know-how developed by the fluid mechanics laboratory ENGEES-ICUBE.

Since 2014, 3D EAU has helped stakeholders design, diagnose and equip complex hydraulic sites: wastewater management works in general and stormwater spillways in particular, by adapting CFD modelling (initially dedicated to aeronautics) to the field of water and the environment. It is an innovative study methodology that allows a precise understanding and visualisation of the fluid inside hydraulic structures.

In 2020, 3D EAU joined forces with Hydrass; which, for 30 years, has been developing, manufacturing and supplying equipment of simple and robust design to optimise the operation of sewerage networks (reduction of spillage) and to facilitate the intervention of operating staff in the field (dredging, retention of floating materials, etc). All these products are designed and manufactured by 3D EAU in our workshops.

OUR VALUES
Our clients are secure in the knowledge that we are impartial, because we are independent: there is no external financing (specifically no acquisition of a holding in the capital of the company) and no exclusive contract.
We have a constant drive for innovation, thanks to our very strong ties with the laboratory: the three partners worked together in the laboratory, with one of them still working there.

Respect for the environment is central to our approach, both in terms of the services we offer—reducing the discharge of pollutants to rivers, optimising treatments, etc.—and in how our services are delivered: prioritising public transport and making sustainable, responsible purchases.
THE FIRST STEPS

3D EAU is a startup based on the ICube laboratory (ENGEES, INSA of Strasbourg, CNRS and University of Strasbourg).
The project was launched on the initiative of three people:
-
Jonathan Wertel (engineer, University of Strasbourg PhD)
-
José Vazquez (Professor, INSA engineer, University of Strasbourg PhD)
-
Matthieu Dufresne (engineer, University of Strasbourg PhD).

The startup’s objective is to leverage—in the area of engineering—the CFD modelling expertise developed by the laboratory, to study hydraulic structures such as combined sewer overflows, junction chambers, drop shafts, etc.

Innovation

The service offered by 3DEAU is a convergence between innovation and operational support. Our know-how is based on the scientific and technical expertise developed at the ICube laboratory and at ENGEES (National School for Water and Environmental Engineering of Strasbourg, France).

Listening

Your satisfaction is our priority: we offer solutions tailored to your needs. Our experts will provide you with technical and scientific support throughout the duration of your project.

Reliable and neutral

Every study is documented in a rigorous, instructive report detailing the rationale for the proposed solutions. Operational follow-up is offered, in order to help you implement the proposed solution.

Ecology

Investments that are justified and optimised prior to implementation: let us work together to reduce our waste and protect the environment!
